From the PORC Forums:
All Bavington trails were severely impacted by the heavy snow. Most trails have a large tree down every 100 yards or so in addition to numerous smaller trees and branches. A few highly dedicated volunteers have managed to clear roughly a third of the trails at Bavington to this point but, your assistance is greatly needed. If you are available, please try give us a hand this Sunday. We have lots of clearing work to do before the park is rideable.
Meet 10:00AM at the Five Points Parking Area
Bring saws. Bow saws especially. (But no saw is just fine!)
We’ll be walking and cutting the many fallen trees that are blocking the trails
Wear boots and bring your own sturdy gloves, safety eyewear, food and water.

Join our merry convoy as we travel to the indoor mecca of mountain biking for an exhausting day of riding. Ladies get in for half price! Should be a ton of fun – I think we are going to have a big Pgh crew. if you have a car and are willing to car-pool we may need you. If you bring your car and we don’t need it you can leave it in the Thick Bikes parking lot for the day.

Between Mike and myself we had four ski-bikes of varying designs that we cobbled together from bmx framesets. They are a pretty god way to hurt yourself while having a lot of fun. We went to Boyce and rode them on the ski slopes there. We might do it again soon while the snow is still good…
