Sunday May 20th Road Ride – Pedal Pittsburgh
Many DORCs will be participating in CDCP’s Pedal Pittsburgh. If you are going to be riding in the MS 150 this is a good warm-up and test of your endurance. The longest route on Pedal Pittsburgh is 60 miles and they are some very hilly miles. If you can complete this ride you should have no trouble doing the 82 miles on the first day of the MS 150 ride. anyone who didn’t go missed a great ride. troy hill sucked and it poured on us all the way from the strip to the zoo, but it stayed nice and warm without being too hot and after the rain the sun came out and it was a beautiful day to ride in the city. i’m saving the 50/60 mile cue sheet and i think we should do a dorc road ride on this route sometime this summer.
also, chris is fucking nuts. he road his new fixie on the 60 mile route, including riding down sycamore fixed. any day now he will be busting out the fixed gear snob tshirts (well maybe after he ditches the front brake and gets good at track skids!)
