Saturday August 11th and Sunday the 12th Ride - Snowshoe

Actually the plan  is to drive down on the 11th, camp/crash as near as possible to Snowshoe and ride the next day. Sunday the 12th we wake up and ride all day or until we cannot ride any longer. Then we drive back to Pittsburgh, half dead. Should be very fun. Snowshoe rocks. They have sick downhill and freeride park stuff. The best part is you don’t have to ride uphill at all. You just get on the lift and it carries you to the top of the mountain with your bike. I’m pretty sure the full access lift/shuttle pass is $37 for the day. If you are interested please give me a call or send me an E-mail. We will try and do this using as few vehicles as possible to save gas. Stay tuned for meeting time at Thick Bikes.

Sunday August 5th Ohiopyle - More Whitewater

After our previous whitewater escapade the rafting bug has bitten us. Jen and I are planning to do a one day trip to Ohiopyle where we will rent some duckies and do the Lower Yough River unguided. Anybody who wants to may join us. Summer is almost over so this is probably our last whitewater outing this year.

Also, Larry will be doing the in town sunday ride here and Mike will be leading a relaxed rails to trails ride at ohiopyle. if you are interested in the normal sunday ride get ahold of Larry at Thick and if you want to do rails to trails check Mike’s post above for his contact info.

Wednesday August 1st Ride - North Park

This Wednesday our ride will take place in North Park. Meet at Thick Bikes a little before 6 PM or meet out at the JC Stone parking lot around 6:30. Lights may be a good idea for the tail end of the ride.

Monday July 30th Ride - 40 Acres DH

We did some downhill runs with a van shuttle back up the hill. We took turns driving to make things equal. Downhill is fun. We might do this again before our Snowshoe trip which will be on the second weekend in August (11th and 12th).

Sunday July 29th - Ride Bavington

Its time to revisit Bavington State Game Lands. Meet at high noon at Thick Bikes. I’m not sure where in Bavington we will ride but I’m leaning towards the Haul Road loop. If you are meeting us out there call to make sure of the correct starting point.
