Sunday July 8th – Rides

Rich’s rafting trip has been cancelled so I am going to do the Underground Railroad Ride at 4 PM. It has been organized by the Major Taylor Cycling Club and should prove to be very interesting and informative. Apparently there are at least six documented sites in Pittsburgh where the Underground Railroad operated and the bike ride will visit all six. The ride will begin from St Benedict the Moor Church which is located above the Melon Arena. Be there at 3:45 PM. See here for more info

Another option for Sunday entertainment is PTAG’s Trail Maintenance at Frick with a MTB ride afterwards. For that meet at 10 AM in the English Lane parking lot near the entrance to the Iron Gate Trail.
