I’m (broken) Boned…

Friday, August 31st, 2007

So last weekend Stef and I went to South Park again…  and I broke my collar bone overshooting the jump out of the practice area into the little parking lot. I have to go back to the doctor on the 17th to find out if i will need to get surgery to repair it permanently. So you won’t be seeing me at any rides for the next 6-8 weeks at least.

Also, if anyone would be willing to help out, I was supposed to start moving this weekend. I have till the end of September to finish…

Labor Day Weekend - Saturday September 1st & Sunday the 2nd - 24 Hours Race

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

Carol Clemens will be racing the 24 Hours of 7 Springs solo and a few of us (Larry and myself) will be acting as her support crew. The DH course is also going to be open so we may bring some appropriate bikes to ride that while Carol is out on her laps. I’m sure we will have a camp set up somewhere so if you would like to come out for a bit please do so. We will see you there.

Wednesday August 29th Ride - Where?

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

We will be riding somewhere but are not quite sure as of yet. Possibly North or maybe South park. We will not have the usual transport so we may have to work around that. Meet at Thick at 6 anyway. We will probably have it figured out by then. Bring lights if you have ‘em. You’ll probably need ‘em.

RIP Malice

its a sad day in Pittsburgh. the following is reposted from Jeff’s mypace:

This is awful news so I won’t try to polish it. One of our best friends is dead. And you can say it’s not a human life, but we’ve all lost a friend in Malice. What an awesome dog. A dog trained to jump into a messenger bag (facing left so she’ll ride with her head facing forward). A dog trained to keep quiet at the bar in hopes of a stray French fry. A dog that could run 20 miles on the singletrack in Frick Park, and still keep up with you at 20mph on the Southside bike path. The consummate lap dog, if Malice had a fault it was being too damn nice.Malice got hit by a car. What can I say? It sucks. Life goes on. Make sure it doesn’t happen to you.-JeffG

what else can i possibly add? best bike dog ever… so sorry Hammer.
