Bicycle Programs for the Disabled
Project Mobility, a non-profit organization based in St. Charles, Illinois, which offers recreational events for people with disabilities by adapting bicycles to fit their needs.The project works with families, rehabilitation professionals and organizations to bring the bikes to schools, hospitals and recreational centers; giving participants a sense of freedom and hope beyond previously perceived physical limitations. Participants are able ‘test ride’ a range of bikes opening a doorway to new modes of transportation, therapeutic recreation and general daily enjoyment of life.
