Big Bavington Workday This Coming Sunday!!!!!!! April 11th

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

From the PTAG email list:

9:00AM – Old Model Airplane Parking Lot

As you know, Bavington trails were severely impacted by the winter weather. Due to the perseverance of a few highly dedicated volunteers, nearly 75% of the trails at Bavington are now passable. But, the remaining uncleared trails need your help (and all the thorn bushes need to be “disciplined”, as usual)!!!!! We also may work on completing the missing ramps to the new Big Bridge. If you possibly can, please give us a hand this coming Sunday. Bring saws, clippers, pruners, etc if you have them. Wear sturdy boots and bring your own gloves, safety eyewear, food, and water.

See you there!

Bavington Workday This Sunday!!!!!!! 3-21

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

From the PORC Forums:

All Bavington trails were severely impacted by the heavy snow. Most trails have a large tree down every 100 yards or so in addition to numerous smaller trees and branches. A few highly dedicated volunteers have managed to clear roughly a third of the trails at Bavington to this point but, your assistance is greatly needed. If you are available, please try give us a hand this Sunday. We have lots of clearing work to do before the park is rideable.

Meet 10:00AM at the Five Points Parking Area
Bring saws. Bow saws especially. (But no saw is just fine!)
We’ll be walking and cutting the many fallen trees that are blocking the trails
Wear boots and bring your own sturdy gloves, safety eyewear, food and water.

See you there!
